Guide to Multi-Shaft Techniques
Introduction
Although I’m the editor of Handwoven magazine, I must confess that almost every time I hemstitch a warp I need to follow the illustration for the first few stitches. Most of my weaving doesn’t require hemstitching, and I simply forget how if I don’t do it regularly.
Maybe you’re the same way with navigating the brackets in drafts, or twisting fringe, or trying to remember why you sometimes find yourself weaving fabric that’s upside down rather than right side up. Finding the answers to questions like these should be quick and easy, so you can spend less time searching them out and more time weaving.
