MARCH/APRIL 2011

In the pattern for the Colorful Double-Faced Scarves by Lestra Hazel on pages 48-50, the labels in Figure 1 are switched. The top treadling lifts the back warp up on the loom, the bottom treadling lifts the front warp up. This does not affect weaving the scarves but may affect how they look on the loom.

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2011

Nancy Delson Vaughan’s “Ruffles-and-Lace Scarf” contained a treadling error. The huck pattern should be treadled to raise shafts: 1-3, 2-3, 1-3, 2-3, 1-3; 2-4, 1-4, 2-4, 1-4, 2-4.

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2011

In the article, “Ralph’s Dream” the website address provided for the Digital Archive of Documents on Weaving and Other Topics” was listed incorrectly. It should read www.cs.arizona.edu/patterns/weaving.

In the Halvdrall Runner by Rita Hagenbruch, there is a threading error. Block A should be threaded [1-2-1-2-3-2-1-2-1-4], with the final end on shaft 4 being the first end of block B. Block B has an error in the text description, but the sample draft is correct in that it is threaded [4-3-4-3-2-3-4-3-4-1], sharing the last end on shaft 1 with the first thread on the next block A.

The draft of the project in Figure 2 shows the correct threading. A WIF of the project that shows the full threading and treadling is available in the WIF library.
