Sylvia Houghton’s Undulating Overshot for Scarves, page 58 In the November/December 2002 issue, in Sylvia Houghton’s “Undulating Overshot for Scarves,” the first instruction with the threading draft on page 58 should read “Thread from right to left” instead of “from left to right.” Read both the first row in the threading draft and the second row (to e) from right to left.
The thread on shaft 4, at e, is the center thread in the draft. When you reach that center thread, reverse the direction in which you read the draft and read it from left to right (the bottom row first and then the top). You can’t change the direction you are threading the heddles, of course. You will continue in the same direction in which you began.
