If you‘ve never woven with them before, floating selvedges can seem like a mystery: When should you use them? If you need them, how should you go about putting them on the loom?

Sara Bixler is here to help answer some of these questions with a short tip video drawn from her new course on weaving good selvedges.

She explains when you should use floating selvedges, and whether you should beam them with the rest of the wrap, or hang those ends separately over the back beam. She even includes a very practical weighting tip that uses items every weaver has in their studio.
