LoginFor these towels, designer Kathie Roig decided to expand on her usual unplanned warping process. Her goal was to use all 12 colors in a pleasing gradation, randomly yet orderly changing the warp from warm to cool colors. The results are controllable—and it is a technique that can be used with all sorts of weave structures.
In this PDF you'll find the original 8-shaft draft and the 4-shaft reduced version. To learn more about reducing multi-shaft twill designs to 4-shafts, see this article https://handwovenmagazine.com/the-draft-coping-with-harness-envy/.
A WIF is also available for these towels.
