All weaving workshops have some qualities in common. Everyone spends the whole time weaving, thinking about weaving, and talking about weaving. This is always a joy, since back at home, family and friends roll their eyes at too much weaving talk.
The tables that start off neat and clean become piled with books, magazines, and eventually the pieces woven in the workshop. By the last day, everyone is very tired, but very happy. Taking home samples is like going back with a pile of gifts.
Back home, they'll tell everyone about it until eyes start rolling again. And then, they'll start looking for another workshop.
The tables get piled with books and textiles.
Everyone talks about weaving.
The samples pile up.
After all the weaving is done, some of us are tired.
Life is good.
