When I first started weaving, I immediately jumped to an 8-shaft floor loom and into complicated patterns. At the time, I had no idea what inkle weaving was, let alone what someone would do with the individual strips of bands created. Getting to work at Long Thread Media and seeing all the amazing projects that come in has completely changed my perspective. There is plenty you can do with bands!
