Today is the first day of a class at my school. I love first days, especially before the students arrive, while we are getting ready. I loved playing school as a kid, and all the time I taught junior high and high school, my favorite part was the same time--before the students arrive. I loved moving the desks around, making bulletin boards, passing out stuff to each place. It was easier to teach when only my dolls sat in the seats. Once real students sat there, things changed a bit. They had minds of their own. And weavers do, too!
So, here is the schooll before students arrive: the classroom, Suzie (chief assistant), looms all ready, Madelyn tying up treadles.
