Hey, Madelyn.
I have learned that when loading a bobbin into a boat shuttle the yarn should feed over the top of the bobbin. A number of people have told me that it doesn't make any difference. Still others say it should feed from under the bobbin. Who is right? --Bill Quill
Well, Bill, I don't have a clue! I have tried both and think both work equally well.
I think this could be a toilet paper-roll kind of thing. There are the from-over-the-top folks and the from-under-the-bottom folks. However, I have to say, I'm an over-the-top toilet paper person and a from-under-the-bottom bobbin person. I'm sure there are weavers out there who would say that is wrong!
