*If you think pin looms are just for plain weave, think again. Deborah Bagley found booklets from the mid-1900s that feature pin loom weaving patterns that are anything but plain. She based her Pin-Striped Pin-Loom Pillow on float patterns she found that add texture, and then she added colors to enhance that texture.

Structure: Plain weave with weft floats.
Equipment: 4" x 4" pin loom; 5" weaving needle; tapestry needle.
Yarns: 220 Superwash (100% wool; 220 yd/3.5 oz, 1,000 yd/lb; Cascade Yarns).
Other Supplies: Pillow stuffing.
Width and length (measured under tension on the loom): 4" x 4" each square.
Finished size after washing and sewing: 10½" x 13½".
